Origins
The Voice of Fu Jen officially took to the airwaves on January 1, 2001, broadcasting at FM 88.5. The station is housed on the 8th floor of the Liberal Enlightenment Hall, and is equipped with an automatic broadcasting system which allows us to transmit 24 hours a day. Students and faculty share resources and produce a diverse array of programs. These programs were initially broadcast to the inhabitants of Xinzhuang and nearby Taishan, Wugu, and Sanchong, but our reach expanded in 2003 when our programming went online.
Students showcase their creativity in a broad range a radio programs spanning music, art, interviews, news, and public service. The station also works with other Fu Jen programs, Xinzhuang communities, local news agencies, other campus radio stations, and renowned radio stations and magazines in Taiwan, offering programming in Chinese and other languages. News is reported live on-site, so students get a proper feel for what it’s like to report in real time.
